Altered Starbucks Bottle

My sister asked me to put together an idea for favors for her son's graduation party. So I decided to alter a starbucks bottle. His school colors are Red and Black and although the bottle isn't complete I wanted to put it on my blog. The finishing touches will be added at my sisters this weekend. We plan on putting a small tag with the words "thank you" and attaching it to the silver thread and filling the bottle with kisses. My sister loved the idea so now the hard part is getting 28 bottles. She has 6 and I have 10. Let the drink-feast begin, we still need 12 bottles.

Tigger page

I have a ton of pictures that need to make their way into my scrapbook and I also have a bunch of pages that I swapped at one time or another. Some pages I have taken apart and some I really like. This is one that I really like, although all the designs are stickers (which I rarely use), I just don't mind because it's such a fun looking page and my son really like it. This page was made by my sister Helena...it was the first time she participated in a swap and was constantly on the phone to me asking all kinds of questions, sending me photos LOL. She did great and I am glad I was finally able to use her page.

I have many more swapped pages in holders and I look forward to using them more to get my pictures in the scrapbook and I also look forward to sharing them with you. As always, thanks for stopping by, have a great night.

Me

I didn't have anything to show for this weekend. My son and I were a bit under the weather on Saturday and today was beautiful, so I planted my garden and all my flowers. Took me 3 hours but it's worth it. In June and July I am in my glory
with all the flowers surrounding me on the patio.
I made this page for ASB, the topic was "Me". I am glad I did it, I would not normally do something like this and I am glad I finally did it. I now plan on doing one of my husband and adding it to Logan's Scrapbook. The beading was by accident, I made the holes, then didn't like them so I decided to stitch the holes, I didn't like that too much and decided to brighten up the page by adding the beads. When I finished one circle of beads I looked at the page and thought....it looks a little like a halo, so I added the second set, didn't want anyone to think I was implying I was an angel LOL.
I really like how the page came out in the end. I find that I start a page and have an idea of how it is going to come out and then I wind up with something totally different. Sometimes accidents are good. Thanks for stopping by and everyone...have a great week!!!

Super Son layout

I hope everyone had a great Memorial day weekend. Over this great weekend, my husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary. I can't believe it, it's been 10 years!!! Anyway, here is a page that I was working on for over two weeks. Why couldn't I get this page together? Because I didn't care for the pictures...My husband really wanted them in the scrapbook. The pictures are of my son making believe he is taking off as superman. The second is of my father-in-law with my son. This is actually the last picture we got of him before he passed away unexpectedly a few weeks later. The third is a family shot and I don't like the picture of me at all and the last is a far away shot of my son at the park. Hopefully the next page wouldn't take me so long. Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of the day. Hugs to all.

Thank you Laurie

Looky what I got in the mail!!! Isn't this card beautiful? I received this card and stamp from LaurieU at ASB. Two weeks ago Laurie had a contest, complete two cards...emboss resist and sponging and be entered to win a stamp. For those of you not familiar with ASB, Laurie is in charge of the technique challenge, which she puts up every Monday. She has made some stunning cards. If you are interested in doing one of her challenges, they can be found here.
The stamp states "Simply put you make the world better". Isn't that so sweet. Thanks so much Laurie, I really enjoy your challenges and I absolutely love my gift!!!

Sponging card

I have been struggling with my latest scrapbook page but I didn't want to whole weekend to go by without something on my blog. I made this card for one of the ASB challenges. The challenge was sponging. I used my chalks to sponge the background and colored using colored pencils and marker. The patterned paper is Anne's digital paper Summer Sherbert. I used my cuttlebug to emboss the card, and my Gina K (punchy words) for the sentiment (thank you Heather).
I hope you all have a great week.

Sketch Challenge

Here is a card I made for todays sketch challenge. This is the first time I used this stamp set. I just love the fairy and the mushroom. The stamp set is from Art Inkables and paper is all SU and I glittered the mushroom dots and flower on the fairies head because my friend Heather loves glitter and has inspired me.
Thanks for stopping....hang in there everyone, just a few days until the weekend.
