Sponging card

I have been struggling with my latest scrapbook page but I didn't want to whole weekend to go by without something on my blog. I made this card for one of the ASB challenges. The challenge was sponging. I used my chalks to sponge the background and colored using colored pencils and marker. The patterned paper is Anne's digital paper Summer Sherbert. I used my cuttlebug to emboss the card, and my Gina K (punchy words) for the sentiment (thank you Heather).
I hope you all have a great week.

I have a question. When you use the chalks for your cards, how do you keep them from smearing? I've used cheap hairspray as a fixative. Do you use anything? The card is gorgeous....great colors!

Sara,

I only use a fix like hairspray when working with the pearl ex. With chalks I don't add anything, I just rub in the chalks really well. They don't smear for me actually I have trouble trying to clean them off once the chalks are down. I use the Stampin up chalks, I hope this helps. Delia
