Christmas Exchange Card PWC132

I made this card for my friend Cammy. Cammy was part of the Christmas exchange swap group where you send a card to one person and in return one person sends you a card. I also made this card for this week's Paper Pretties challenge. The challenge was to make a boy or masculine card.

For this card I used PP image Sledding Cooper, colored him in with Copic markers, used hardware from Making memories, Pearls and SU paper and Mi Casa DP. So sorry I am not sure where I got the red DP, had it in my stock for a long time.

As always thanks for stopping by.

Paper Pretties Blog Hop!!

Welcome to the next stop on this fabulous Paper Pretties Blog Hop!! If you are arriving from Frances’ blog, then you are right on track!! If you happened to start in the middle, feel free to turn around and head over to the Paper Pretties Blog. You won’t want to miss a thing; all the new stamps and cards are absolutely beautiful!!

I was nervous, excited and honored that Heather asked me to be part of today’s blog hop. Heather is a wonderful person and if you haven’t had the pleasure, let me introduce you…Heather is the new owner of
Paper Pretties which is located in Madison, WI. Heather offers amazing customer service with her lightening speed shipping and cheaper shipping rates. She has a Paper Pretties facebook page which is a great way of keeping up with all the challenges, releases and Paper Pretties projects. She also has the Paper Pretties store where you can look at all the fabulous new releases and get a few of those extra crafting items that you just need (i.e. Basic Grey, Kaisercraft paper and more).

For my projects today, I used
Sledding Cooper. Sledding Cooper is illustrated by the talented Joni Stringfield and this little angel was such a pleasure to play with. He comes with 4 fun sentiments, two of which are shown in this post.

For my card I used, Paper Pretties Sledding Cooper, SU cardstock, Creative imaginations DP, Copics, Martha Stewart punch and snowflakes, Glitter, ribbon, flourishes and a snowflake embossing folder.

For my next project I made an ornament using Sledding Cooper and another one of the great sentiments from the set "Let it snow".

This little guy was black embossed onto acetate and colored on the back using permanent markers. Although difficult to see, I touched the snow around him with dazzling diamonds and added glitter to the bottom of the ornament. I used ribbon, glue dots, flowers and MS snowflake.

Thank you so much for coming by and joining us today!! The incredibly talented JACKIE is your NEXT STOP on this HOP!!!

Back to School Layout

CK had a challenge to use school supplies for a layout. I thought I would do the wheels on the bus, but the wheels looked more like flowers to me. So I used paper clips and adhered them to MM epoxy shapes and came up with the following layout of Logan's first day in the 3rd grade. Here is the layout:
The photo was taken in the evening so the colors are off, I will try and replace it when I get another photo taken. I used, Deja Views DP, SU cardstock, ink and rub ons, Paper Pretties Ribbon, Making memories epoxy shapes, punches, paper clips, brad and thread. I had lots of fun completing this layout. I hope you enjoy it.

Another Dragon Birthday card PWC220

Logan had another birthday party this weekend, so I put together this quick birthday card. I just love this little dragon image. I am sorry for not fixing the ribbon before taking the picture, I was in a rush to get out of the house and get to the party on time. I made this card with the Paper Pretties challenge in mind. The challenge this week was to use 3 different ribbons. Here is my card:

For this card, I used Paper Pretties Imagine image, G studios image, SU cardstock, copic markers. The DP is Kaisercraft Jungle Bug Collection and I used punch by Martha Stewart and I sprayed the paper with Sea kiss smooch and of course I added ribbon.

Once again, thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!

Revised Bath Time Layout

As all my scrapping friends know, if something is bothering me about a card or a scrapbook page, I just can't leave it alone. SOOOO, I took my bath time layout and added a few things here and there. Now I can live with it. I originally wanted big white flowers but alas, I am all out. I thought the little primas were a good substitute with glitter brads in the center. I hope you all enjoy the page!!

Bath Time Layout

This is another one of those quick layouts pages that I put together. Whenever I am rushed or don't know what to do, I revert back to making retangle or square mats and photos. I like the color and I love the Bath Time Cooper which goes great with the photos. I still have a lot of work to do on this page but I wanted to meet the Paper Pretties deadline. The Challenge this week was to use either brads or eyelets.

Here is my page:

And here is a close up of bath time cooper:

Bath Time Cooper is a digi, this was my first time using a digital stamp and it worked great, once I resized the image and printed it, I heated it with my heat gun and the ink did not bleed. I colored the image using copic markers and clear embossed all the bubbles and water. This little guy reminds me so much of Logan that I just had to have it. I absolutely love it. When I am satisfied with this layout, I will post it again. Thanks for coming by and I hope you all have a great week.

Garden Fairy Katie Card PWC 117

This week's challenge included a sketch by Frances. I just realized, card making is so much easier if you follow a sketch. Since I was home today, I decided to put all chores aside and work on this card until Logan got off the bus. So without further ado, here is the sketch.

Cute sketch, right. Here is my card:

As always the card look better in real life. I used Paper pretties Garden Fairy Katie, Designer paper is Basic Grey Origins, Martha Stewart's punch, glitter, textured cardstock, flowers, Mango pearls, shear ribbon from Joanne's and colored everything with copic markers except for the doilie, I used my SU ink apricot appeal and used a mix of embossing powder and glitter to give it some shine.

With this week's challenge you have a chance to win Paper Pretties set "Simply Special". Come on get your paper and stamps out and make a card...who doesn't need a card. As always, thanks for stopping by!!!

I am also adding this card to the Oh, Alice! challenge. I just know I won't have enough to time to finish a second card.

Back to School card - PWC116

Logan is entering the 3rd grade!! I can't believe how quickly time is passing by, where did the time go? Logan will be giving his new teacher this card, yes I am buttering her up, I know I will get a phone call at some point about Logan not listen or talking too much. That's just Logan's personality, talk, talk, talk, play, play, play. He has too much of Daddy in him LOL.

For this card, I used Paper Pretties Look out World Cooper and colored him in using copic markers. For the sentiment I used part of the sentiment from Off to School Sophia. The DP is Kaisercraft Jungle Bug Collection. I love this paper, it has so many bright bold colors. I used SU orange and navy cardstock along with Red ribbon and to finish the card, I used these adorable orange glitter dots.

It's been one of the busiest weeks yet at work and home, so I am just happy to have this card ready for for his first day of school, which is Thursday. I hope you all have a great week, bring the tissues if your kids are getting on the bus for the first time.

Hugs

PWC 115 Summer theme

Another challenge from the Paper Pretties ladies and this time the theme was summer. I took an old page that I think I started with my SU demo Virgina, I think the page was suppose to be birthday but I forget now. I added some photos from five years ago...this is Logan and Grandma Rose. The page is plain and simple, no journalling or embellishments, I could add later but for right now I just wanted simple. I take too long making my pages and I need to break that habit, otherwise I am never going to get caught up.

For the page I used SU baseful blue, pumpkin orange and DP, for the images I used G studio (bathing suit) and Paper Pretties Beach Bum Cooper and copic markers.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your week.

Tuesday Morning sketches Challenge

Today I finished a card for the Tuesday Morning sketches. As you know Heather is the new Paper Pretties owner and for this challenge, she is offering a prize package of 4 stamp sets from the Paper Pretties store: Wade E. Bug, One of those days, Look Out World Cooper and You're Maarvelous Sophia. She's also offering a coupon on their blog, so go to TMS and check it out.

This week TMS asked us to make a Diagonal Double pocket card by following this tutorial on SCS. If it weren't for the pictures, I probably would have given up, but I found this tutorial to be so easy. Here is my card:
I love all the colors in this card, I used Paper Pretties Cowboy Cooper, DP from American Crafts, SU cardstock summer sun and Twine. I hope you like and as always thanks for stopping by.

Paper Pretties Wednesday Challenge PWC114 ribbon

Here is my card for the Paper Pretties challenge. The challenge was an easy challenge all we had to do was use ribbon and enter our cards for a chance to win the Paper Pretties set "Angel Wings Sophia". Here is my card: This is the Paper Pretties stamp set dreamboat. It comes with three sentiments. Unfortunately I didn't plan out the card well, so when I finished gluing and looked down...I didn't have enough room to add my sentiment. So this "hello" from Firecraker design will have to do.

I tried the "out of the box" with nestabilities tech and even though I received great instructions from Jennifer at Glitter in my hair...I wasn't able to pull it off neatly. Don't look too close the mistakes are there. LOL. I embossed the leather jacket and the shoes of both, looks great in real life.

For this card I used Paper Pretties Dreamboat image, SU cardstock, Basic Grey Olivia DP, Glitter dots, Ultra fine glitter with that great Glue pen, black diamond ribbon, copic markers , clear embossing powder and shiny black cardstock given to me by Sandy. Thanks Sandy!!

New layout

My friend Virginia had an SU class a couple of weeks ago and we made a double layout. She came up with the color and the format. I just added a few more pieces to the flower, the scallops, title, journal and the embellishments. I really like how the page came out. Here is the first page: Here is the second:

For this page we used SU barely banana, real red and old olive, DP and red ribbon. I also used Jolee's embellishments, flowers were colored using copic markers. Title was made using the cricut to make the letters "WEED" then I print the word "Orchard" on a transparency and put it over the letters. Love how that came out. I also used Paper Pretties black glitter dots which added sparkle to my page. Love them, they were so easy to put on, mini glue dot fits perfectly with no extra glue sticking out.

I hope you enjoy! Thanks for stopping by.

Paper Pretties sketch challenge

I completed my PP sketch challenge and took pictures this morning before work. When I looked at this sketch I wasn't sure if I wanted to try a layout from it but since Michael is traveling on and off I didn't think I would have time. So here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

Isn't she precious!! I love this fall card and can't wait to send it to someone. To make this card I used:

Paper Pretties image Fall for you Sophia, designer paper Basic Grey Max and Whiskers, Copic markers, Cardstock Stampin up Chocolate chip and punch, ribbon from local craft store, brown and white flowers which I sprayed with Gingersnap smooch.

Trust me the flower glistens, you can't see it in the photo. The only thing I would do differently is change to the brad in the flower to something with more contrast but otherwise I am happy with this card.

Feel free to participant, you could win a free stamp called Bugs and Fishes from Paper Pretties. Check out their blog for more details or check them out on facebook, you won't be dissapointed they have some fabulous card in their gallery.

Thanks for dropping by and have a great day.
