Sometimes when I am stuck and can't seem to make a card or a page, I look for inspiration in galleries or blogs. Sometimes looking at someone's work will just trigger an idea. When all else fails I try to find a sketch to help me along.
A few weeks ago, I wanted to make a card, but couldn't seem to get going. I went out to get the mail and I saw this cute stride rite advertisement and new instantly that I would make a card based on this ad. This is what I came up with. Of course I didn't have the same colors but I am sure you get the idea. I just made a regular sized card with an extra inch or so that I scored to flap over the card. You're so clever! I must have 3 or 4 of those stride rite shoeboxes but never made that connection - great projects.
