Altered Starbucks Bottle
My sister asked me to put together an idea for favors for her son's graduation party. So I decided to alter a starbucks bottle. His school colors are Red and Black and although the bottle isn't complete I wanted to put it on my blog. The finishing touches will be added at my sisters this weekend. We plan on putting a small tag with the words "thank you" and attaching it to the silver thread and filling the bottle with kisses. My sister loved the idea so now the hard part is getting 28 bottles. She has 6 and I have 10. Let the drink-feast begin, we still need 12 bottles.

Me
I didn't have anything to show for this weekend. My son and I were a bit under the weather on Saturday and today was beautiful, so I planted my garden and all my flowers. Took me 3 hours but it's worth it. In June and July I am in my glory

Beaded Pen Chat
In the past I have made beaded pens by stamping on a mailing label....but I wanted a sports team. I went online found a graphic, played with it in Photoshop, personnalize the graphic then printed the graphic on printer paper. I ran it through my sticker xyron then wrapped it around the RSVP pen. Then the rest is the same for beading a pen, get the red sticky tape and wrap it around the pen, heat it then press pen into the beads and roll it on the counter to make sure all the beads are stuck.
My friend really loved it. Just a quick project that you can make for anyone you know who has a favorite team, TV show etc. If you have any questions, let me know. I am happy to help.

Finding inspiration
Sometimes when I am stuck and can't seem to make a card or a page, I look for inspiration in galleries or blogs. Sometimes looking at someone's work will just trigger an idea. When all else fails I try to find a sketch to help me along.
A few weeks ago, I wanted to make a card, but couldn't seem to get going. I went out to get the mail and I saw this cute stride rite advertisement and new instantly that I would make a card based on this ad. This is what I came up with. Of course I didn't have the same colors but I am sure you get the idea. I just made a regular sized card with an extra inch or so that I scored to flap over the card. Thanks for stopping by, I hope I will have a page to show you soon.

Couple of Thank you cards
I received this cute frog image from my friend Heather (you can see her blog here). She is so talented and always makes the cutest cards. This card was a sketch challenge that I made for Gina K's April release party on SCS. The challenge contest is still open. All you have to do is make a card for any of the challenges, upload and your name goes into a hat for a drawing of a Gina K stamp set valued less than $18.95. Contest ends tomorrow (Tuesday at 7PM). If you are interested get over there.
The second card was a color challenge. We needed to use so saffron, Old olive and vanilla. I just think it's an OK card. I just feel it needs more. The stamp set is The Angel Company's (TAC) Charming gardener and the sentiment is Gina K's punchy words that I received as a gift from my friend Heather.

Cowboy Scrapbook Page
Some of you may have seen this page before, but it's new to my blog. I am still looking for the perfect picture for this layout. My friends at work thought I had lost my mind when they saw me tearing bits of masking tape at lunch one day LOL. They really liked how the faux leather came out once they saw the final product. For the faux leather I went over all the tape with craft spots more mustard, choc chip and then a touch here and there of craft black. I embossed the whole thing with Clear embossing powder and heated it. The letters I cut out from my coasters using a friends Sizzix and I ran the hemp through the loop brads to give it some flare. I hope you like it.
BTW: I made this as a party favor for all the girls who came to my SU party last in August. I gave them the pieces and they put it together. They really enjoyed themselves. Again, thanks for dropping by.

One Fine Day
I took this photo of Logan on a November day 4 years ago. I really liked it even though he was upset that the leaves were making him itchy. I am so behind on my scrapping...but that is why I am setting goals for myself and keeping track of how many pages I have done by using tickerfactory.com. My ticker is at the bottom of this blog.
This page was made for ASB sublime scrapbook challenge. The flourish paper was made by Creative Dreams. This paper is called Vintage Blush. I used SU paper and acrylic paint, primas, floss, and chipboard. Thanks for stopping by.
My first Award!!
I received my first award today from Jennifer G. You can see her blog here. I met Jennifer through my friend Heather and the Wish Rak on SCS. She is so talented and has a great personality. Thanks so much Jennifer, you totally made my day!

Unmounting wheels
Find the seam in the wheel and take an exacto knife or razor and make one straight cut along the seam. Lift the rubber at the cut seam and slowly pull way the rubber. The rubber comes off easily. I then mount the rubber on EZ Mount and store the wheels flat in a binder. I am still looking for the best way to store these. Right now a binder works for me.
I bought a 6 x 2.5 size acrylic block very cheap from ebay and I use that to mounted my rubber to stamp.
I use the wheels so much more now since I discovered unmounting. I save my plastic wheel in case I ever change my mind and remount, so far it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Try it out on an old wheel that you don't care too much about. You never know, you might wind up opening yourself to many more possiblities. Hugs to you all.

Bad to the Bone
I am on the Design team at ASB and our challenge was to use The digi paper American Made by Creative dreams, in case you are interested the digi paper can be found by clicking here.
I labeled this page "Bad to the Bone" and used my son's toy batmobile and inked up the tires to run it all over the cranberry paper. The acetate was done using Stazon. I really liked the SU star wheel but knew that there was no way I was going to struggle with it. So I did it!!! I unmounted the star wheel and I was able to use it with Stazon it and I was able to get the stars just like I wanted. I love my wheels unmounted, I tend to use them more that way. Thanks for visiting and I hope you all have a great day.

Making Circle text in Word
1. Click the insert word art button at the bottom of the screen (It’s the tilted A). If it’s not there you can click insert at the top, picture then wordArt.
2. Click the Arc (top row, third one over), click OK.
3. Type the word you want in your circle and leave a few blank spaces at the end.
4. Click OK and you will see your text in an arc.
5. Click on the word and your text box will show around your word and a word Art tab or icons will show up at the bottom with the other icons. You can now size it your text by clicking on the corners or sides of the text box. Now you can size it to your desired size.
6. Click on the on the ABC icon also called “Word Art shape” and click on the circle. It’s in the 2nd row, third one in.
7. Click on the text and then go to the top. Click format and pick WordArt. This will open up a format box.
8. Click the size tab at the top and make sure your height and width are the same number.
9. Add or take away spaces to make the text appealing.
With my layout “Belly page”, I decide to keep the spaces and add some brads since I couldn’t make the punctuation look exactly like I wanted it to. Let me know if you have any questions.
Just have to share
Check it out, you might fall in love and it's so easy.
